Christ is alive folks!

Almost two thousand years later there are still people claiming the falsehood of Jesus’ resurrection. They are still buying into the different beliefs which try to dispel the reality of Christ rising from the dead on that first Easter morning. From the beginning, we see where such actions of disbelief were already starting to take place. We read in Matthew 28:11-15 this account: While they were going, behold, some of the guard went into the city and told the chief priests all that had taken place. And when they had assembled with the elders and taken counsel, they gave a sufficient sum of money to the soldiers and said, "Tell people, 'His disciples came by night and stole him away while we were asleep. 'And if this comes to the governor's ears, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble." So they took the money and did as they were directed. And this story has been spread among the Jews to this day.

Such devious intentions to cover up the resurrection of Jesus have continued to develop and play out throughout the world to this very day. We hear such statements as, “Surely there was a man named Jesus, who was put on trial, beaten severely, and placed on a cross to die. But that Jesus did die, and he was buried in a tomb never to be seen again walking around talking to people. He was a human who died a human’s death, end of story. For anyone to believe otherwise is living a fantasy and their hope rests in a made-up event that never happened.”

Jesus did rise from the grave in bodily form as the risen Son of God. He did walk this earth interacting with His close followers and hundreds of other people after He came back to life. And, most certainly Jesus did ascend to His rightful place at the right hand of the throne of God, And, we can be sure because He lives you and I will live also. Why? Because dear saved saints listen to these precious words from our risen Savior, “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come to take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.” Amen Jesus, we are waiting! Pastor McCarty
