God is relentless!

Have you ever known someone, maybe even yourself, who has been so driven by something they were relentless in their pursuit of achieving their end goal? Not everyone has such fortitude and wear-with-all to press on in their efforts to accomplish a task, even while they are being vehemently opposed in the attempt.

There is one person who is relentless beyond measure and has never given up on carrying out His plan. The person I am speaking about is the Lord God Almighty. From the time of man’s fall into sin God has had a plan to restore fallen creation and provide a way for all mankind to be saved. God is relentless in calling those of us created in His image to humble ourselves, repent of our sinful deeds and disobedient actions, and turn to Him for the forgiveness of our sins and the restoration of their souls.

Our Triune God has pulled all the stops to redeem us and restore a right relationship with us. In Jesus Christ, we see just how far our God is willing to go to keep His promise that He will never leave us or forsake us, but forever desire to be with us. What an amazing Creator and Lord we have who is relentless to accomplish His mission.

Jesus said in John 12:27, 30-32“as He was contemplating His persecution and death, “Now is my soul troubled. And what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour. But for this purpose I have come to this. Father, glorify your name”. This voice has come for your sake, not mine. Now is the judgement of this world; now will the ruler of this world be cast out. And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, (hung on a cross) will draw all people to myself”.

There is no god like our God and He will continue to call us to Himself until the day of Jesus’ return, when all things will be judged unto eternity. Thank you, Lord, for never giving up on us!
