One thing never changes!
In a day and age when people in this country are trying to change the laws, the Constitution of these United States, the history of our nation, the freedoms we have enjoyed as Americans for decades upon decades, and the way we are to deliver news in a truthful and unbiased manner, there is a dire need for stability and true concern for the well-being of one another.
In a world riddled with sin, corruption, and moral deterioration there is plenty of potential for constant change. And in many cases the change taking place is heading our society in a negative and destructive direction. Where can we find hope in such a messed up and chaotic environment?
Dear family and friends God’s Word gives us something we can depend on and have real hope in: Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, tells us in Hebrews 13:8. “Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever.” The same Jesus who was there at Creation, is the same Jesus who lived, suffered, died, rose again on Easter morning, and ascended back into heaven. He is the same Lord who reigns over heaven and earth and will return one day as Judge and King to make all things new. Jesus is the same person who said, “I will never leave you or forsake you.” He is the one whom you and I can rely on, bank on, and put our trust in, because He is constant and unchanging when it comes to loving us and caring for us.
Everything else in this world will eventually give way and will fail us, even our bodies. Yet, in Christ there is a foundation we can build on that is solid and will not be shaken or crushed. It will not shift or move under our feet. Now that is something worth relying on which we can be sure will not change as time goes on and our life advances towards eternity.
Jesus said that He was one with the Father: “I am in the Father and the Father is in me, we are on.” With that being the case there is a hymn “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” which shows the unchanging character of Jesus and the Father. “Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father; There is no shadow of turning with Thee. Thou changest not: Thy compassions they fail not; As Thou has been, Thou forever wilt be. Great is Thy faithfulness!”
Thank You Lord for being the one thing in our lives we can fully rely on to be changeless!!!!!!
