Still trying to reach the sky!

Standing at 2,716.5 feet, Dubai's Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world.

It's so tall that people on the top and bottom of the building have a different read of time.

The building also "transcends the earth's local temperature and climate," Al wrote. That's because the Burj is so tall that its upper half occasionally emerges above the clouds, rendering it unaffected by the rain that's pouring at its base. For us Americans to understanding just how high this structural tower extends into the sky, we must realize that this building is 2 times taller than the Empire State Building in New York.

Man’s enate desire to build things bigger, higher, stronger, and more impressive has been around for a long, long time. We first see this mindset in place in the Bible, where we hear about the story of the tower of Babel in Genesis 11:4-6; Then they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth." And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of man had built. And the LORD said, "Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them”.

The pride of man is the enemy of God, for when mankind believes they can achieve great and mighty things without the help of God, then they have replaced the Lord with their own self oriented abilities. And I can tell you that God will not be mocked or overshadowed by His creation. The wisdom of man is shown in their reliance on the Lord God, who made and controls everything in the heavens and under them. Let us be wise and not foolish in our thinking and actions!!!!!!
