Wonderous ways to behold!

This morning in our worship service the Praise Team sang a pre-service song that brought back some amazing memories for me. The song that they sang is titled “God Will Make a Way”. The reason it caught my attention and stirred some special memories of the past in me, is because over my lifetime God has provided me with some unimaginable experiences which could only be consider miraculous.

Yes, as the song so clearly conveys: God will make a way where there seems to be no way, He works in ways we cannot see, He will make a way for me.

He will be my guide, hold me closely to His side, with love and strength for each new day, He will make a way. He will make a way.

Time and time again God was an unseen presence as my caretaker and guide, who brought me through situations that could only be credited as the mighty work of His hands. I have been hit by a car as a pedestrian, I have been hit by a car as a bicycle rider, I have hit a telephone pole head on at 40 mph, I have been hit, pretty much broadside, by a freight train traveling 55 mph, while crossing a set of railroad tracks in my car, and all of these things took place without sustaining any kind of injury. You cannot convince me that God is not at work in ways we cannot see or understand. I believe I am living proof that He most certainly is! And I am sure He has done some miraculous things in your life as well!

As Christians we have the opportunity to behold God’s most amazing work and ways, in the person of Jesus Christ. As sinners you, I, and all humanity were destined for eternal condemnation. Yet, God did something we could never do, save us from the wages of sin which is eternal death. Yes, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life”. Who else could bring about so much good, and show so much love, while using betrayal, lies, pagan Roman soldiers, hateful Jewish leaders, a falsely accused Son of God, and a wooden cross, to bring about the salvation of the world? No one dear saints!!!!!!!

As you go forth in life, I am strongly encouraging you to trust in the Lord with all your heart in any and every situation. Never let yourself think there is no chance of hope, or help for you, in your time of need and difficulty. For God has proven that He can make a way when there seems to be no way. And believe the truth which tells us He works in ways we cannot see and that He will make a way for you and me. And I can guarantee that His way is always the best way! Pastor McCarty
